1929 Carnival procession. Includes band, and car VW 5250 (registered to Harry Evitt, probably Captain Evitt, chairman). Was Witham’s first Carnival, to raise money for local hospitals. Includes (left to right), 64 Newland Street (Bellamy, chemist), 62 Newland Street (Army and Navy stores), 60 Newland Street, 58 Newland Street (cafĂ©). Includes spectators.
