Left to right, space where 48 Avenue Road was to be built in c.1904, plan 148) chimney of 46 Avenue Road just visible behind the one in front (built 1901 or 1902, plan 118), 44 Avenue Road, 42 Avenue Road (pair, with square pattern on gable, built 1897, plan 91), 40 Avenue Road (wide chimney in front, timbering on gable, which is not there any more, built 1898, plan 95), 38 Avenue Road (plain, tree in front, built 1895-1896, plans 66 and 69). Number on front of postcard looks like 63992 or 65992. Sent in 1910 to Mrs J P Green at Woodham Walter, from her daughter Alice of the shop at 13 Newland Street. Postmark November 25 1910. Addressed to Mrs J E Green, Burnt House, Woodham Walter, Nr Maldon, Essex. Message reads ‘Dear Mother, Hope you are all feeling better I got home allright it was rather cold Aunt S & I have bad colds Elsie is about the same will write in a day or two love to all forgot the braid & book. SG’.
