Bill from George Thomasin to Mr D H Harvey, 1854 [perhaps Daniel Horton Harvey, grocer and draper of Castle Hedingham – taken from index to 1848 directory]. Heading reads ‘Witham, 1854. Mr D H Harvey, Dr. To George Thomasin’. One lost of ‘goods’ total £4 15s 6d. Less ‘Dist’ 10s ‘Dist’. £4 15s 6d. Queen Victoria stamp saying ‘Receipt One Penny’. Written over with ‘Received 21 July 54. Saml Spooner. 4 15 6’.
