‘High Street, Witham’. Bottom of Newland Street looking up. Some people, cars, motorcycles though not very close. In right foreground are two hanging signs ‘Garage repair works – RAC repairer’ and ‘Chas Warren Motor Marine & general engineer’, with standing ‘AA’ sign. This probably at entrance to garage behind and between 95 Newland Street and 97 Newland Street. Chas Warren is in 1922 and 1926 Kelly’s directories. Next to it (perhaps 95 Newland Street is sign ‘Perth Dye Works’. On extreme left shop is 88 Newland Street titled ‘Beard’ and ‘Hardware’ with goods on pavement. In centre is 64 Newland Street titled ‘Chemist’ with ‘Bellamy’ on awning. No message or address.
