Bridge Street looking east. With back of horse drawn waggon. Includes on left side of road, left to right, 12 Bridge Street (with shop window), 10 Bridge Street (Croft House, three-storey), perhaps 2 Bridge Street (brick, left of tree). On right hand side of road, perhaps 17 Bridge Street (left of telegraph pole), 19 Bridge Street (right of telegraph pole), Morning Star (21 Bridge Street, with sign), 23 Bridge Street, 25 Bridge Street, 27 Bridge Street (the last three half timbered), 27A Bridge Street (lean to). Postmark 30 December 1921. Addressed to Mr and Mrs V[?] Duncombe, The Bungalow, Grays, Essex. Message reads ‘Wishing You both a Very Happy New Year from all at ‘Macrea'[?]. Thanks very much for your good wishes. Yes I spent a very Happy Xmas & I trust you did also. Much love to you both your loving Aunt Carrie’.
