Bridge Street looking east, titled ‘A Bit of Old Bridge Street, Witham’. On left hand side of road, left to right, 10 Bridge Street (Croft House, tall), small corner of 4 Bridge Street (left of small telegraph pole), 2 Bridge Street (behind small telegraph pole), Gas works (134 Newland Street). Right hand side of road, left to right, 19 Bridge Street (?) (white, right of tall telegraph pole), Morning Star (with sign, 21 Bridge Street), 13 Bridge Street, 25 Bridge Street, 27 Bridge Street, corner of 27A Bridge Street (Castrol sign). Postmark removed. Addressed to Miss Elizabeth Hill, the Manor House, Stansted, Essex. Message reads ‘Ulting Lea, Feb 25th. I shall hope to see you all on Thursday if the roads improve. Much love from Granny[?]’.
