Left hand side of road, left to right, probably 26 Bridge Street, entrance to Elmy Terrace (with ladies and pram), 14 Bridge Street or 16 Bridge Street, 12 Bridge Street (with shop window), 10 Bridge Street (Croft House), trees perhaps at 2 Bridge Street. Right hand side of road, left to right, sign for Morning Star (right of telegraph pole, 21 Bridge Street), 23 Bridge Street, 25 Bridge Street, 29 Bridge Street (these three half-timbered), 27A Bridge Street (lean-to), George and Dragon (29 Bridge Street), next ones numbers not certain but perhaps 31 Bridge Street, 33 Bridge Street, 35 Bridge Street, 37 Bridge Street and 39 Bridge Street (with sign ‘E REEVE / BOOT MAKER / Repairs neatly executed’). Postmark 13 March 1911. Addressed to Mrs G Risby, 69 Ballingdon St, Sudbury, Suffolk. Message reads ‘Dear Mother & all, Got home safe & I am in good lodgings. I am lodging with the man I work with & very nice people shall see you all Sat. Love from Fred’.
