Taken: 18 June 1966, Source: Webb, David. 87 Station Road, Manningtree, Essex. CO11 1ED The photos formerly belonged to Lucy Croxall and her sisters. A relative of theirs from the Midlands (perhaps a brother) asked David, who was driving him in a taxi, to dispose of them about the 1980s, perhaps when the sisters moved to a home or when one died., Ref: M2153

Carnival queen, princesses etc., on Truman’s waggon crossing Collingwood Road railway bridge. In background, glass building of Cooper Taber’s (built 1956), and their newer building (build 1964 – to right partly behind the houses of Easton Road). The Queen was Jenny Coleman of Silver End and the attendants Nina Rice and Theresa Roman. They were in a ‘brewer’s dray drawn by two Suffolk Punches’.
