Charles Henry Copley Du Cane (1864 to 1938). Probably Lieutenant, Coldstream Guards, 1883-1887 (resigned). He lived at the family home of Braxted Hall. A relative wrote that “he was the straw that broke the camel’s back, he sold Braxted to pay a £8,000 gambling debt”.
