Children’s day nursery at Brookcote, 29 Chipping Hill. Left to right, Andrew Shenton (with drooping pants), Lettie Upson (later Mrs Dallard), Maureen McCain. The nursery opened during the Second World War for children of working mothers, and continued for some time afterwards.
