Corner welding’. Photo (9) from a series illustrating the making of a window. From page 17 of catalogue. The caption says ‘The mitre-ended bars are punched with location holes exactly 6 in. from the ends, to engage with a spigot in the electrode, and thus ensure the exact size of the frame.’ John Thurgoood, who worked there, says this picture was taken at the Witham works.
