Crittall’s factory after being bombed in 1941

Taken: January 1941, Ref: M2958

Crittall’s factory, Braintree Road, after being bombed. It was a metal window factory, but turned to making other things, such as Bailey Bridges, during the Second World War. I believe the bomb fell on the Power House at the back, and that the damage was put right quite speedily.
