Doris Cook and Mrs Ashby of Ashbys’ garage in Hatfield Road, with a baby (perhaps an Ashby), when Doris was Doris Smith and lived at Kingswood, Hatfield Road, with her parents. It was near Howbridge Road and was probably later 41 Hatfield Road. She was there in the 1930 electoral register, and still there in the 1961 one. A few years after that she married Harold Cook, the butcher, and moved to either Newland Street or Maldon Road.
