Eastern end of railway station with water tower being demolished. Signal box on left. Part of Baird’s maltings on the right, gas holder in centre. Between the two is the Maldon line on the left and goods yards on the right. Fence made of sleepers left foreground, with flat tops; train spotters would sit on top.
