Witham Hockey Club Carnival entry (see hockey sticks behind Brian Howe). Four men in dresses. Left to right, Brian (Tub) Howe (match secretary; he was brought up in St Nicholas Close where his father Bert Howe, had the grocers’ shop. There were five children including Brian; his sister June lives in Chelmsford, one brother is Ron ), Richard (Will) Williams, John Wright (of Church Street), ??? (possibly Paul Hollingsworth but this just a guess).
