Number 147 Newland Street as Glover’s first shop, selling cycles. In about 1904 it was replaced by 38 Newland Street, and in 1911 additional premises were also opened at 155 Newland Street. Glover Bros were in the directory as cycle repairers in 1899, and as ‘cycle, motor and general engineers’ from 1902 to 1908, and after that as motor engineers till ‘cycle agent’ appears again in 1929.
