Left to right, back row, Hyde (father kept greengrocers), Jim Pavelin, Derek Potter, Hyde?, Dawson, Arthur Burton, Alf (Whisky) Newman (later of St Nicholas Road), Baldwin (father was a thatcher). Next to back, standing, Claydon (became a customs man), George Codlin?, Hyde?, Fred Ralling, Jim Bailey, ???, ???, Cliff Emmens (far right). Next to front, sitting, Ted Bickmore, Robert Newman (father was a milkman and farmer in Bridge Street), Fred Cook (later of Crittall’s, owner of photo), Arthur Butcher (lived in Braintree Road later), Jack Lapwood (became a taxi driver), Walter Peirce (later of Crittall’s), Fred (Podger) Pease, Rodd or Bright. Next to front, kneeling, Herb Owers (went to Australia), Bickmore (brother of Ted). Front row, sitting, Sidney Keeble (later of Pinkham’s and Church Street), Bob Brown, Hawkes or Chambers or Brewer (this family poss inter-married), Harold Wallace or Bert Rice (lived opposite church), Dunne or Davidge (Londoner), Herbert (Jim) Godfrey, George Taylor, E Hawkes, Easter?
