Group of Special Constables

Taken: 1930s perhaps, Ref: M2987

A group of Special Constables (volunteer police officers). Many thanks to Maureen Scollan for identifying them for me. Their only uniform was the striped armband, like the ones worn by the police. Two are clergymen, the one on the left looks a little like Rev Charles Barlow who was vicar here 1933-36 (see photos M602, M984, and M2159). A wooden building behind.
