Old Photos of Witham

Jubilee Oak, Collingwood Road, from the south

Taken: 1902-1918, Ref: M2892

‘Jubilee Oak, Collingwood Road, Witham, by FH’. Looking up Collingwood Road from the south. In the background, left to right, are 8, 6, 4 and 2 Guithavon Valley and 57, 59, 61 and 63 Collingwood Road. Handwritten over is ‘Fir Cottage’, which refers to one or two of the houses.

No stamp etc. Written on back ‘Wishing you a happy Christmas. To Brenda from Mabel’. Printed over left hand side, ‘For Inland Postage and some Foreign Countries this space may now be used for communication’, so it may have been soon after 1902 when the divided back was first introduced.
