This talk was given at the annual Essex Labour History Conference on 6 November 2004.

Ariel Crittall’s talk was about her life, her husband’s Crittall family, and Crittall’s metal window factories in Braintree, Silver End and Witham. She was also a painter, and was close to the Great Bardfield painters who flourished from the 1930s onwards.
