Middle of Newland Street. Left hand side, left to right, 50 Newland Street (tall), 48 Newland Street (two white gables), can’t see 46, 44 Newland Street (four windows). Right hand side, left to right, 35 Newland Street (with circle on sign), 37 Newland Street (with awning), White Hart (with blinds), Angel (39 Newland Street). Postmark not clear. Addressed to Mrs Smith, Alexandra Club, Greystone Road, Sankerton[?] on Sea, Kent. Message reads ‘Dear Mrs Smith, Thank you for pretty postcard did you get the one I sent to Strood last week. I am so glad your husband is improving so well, will be nice for you when he can go home. I am going to have tooth out today, been nearly crasy with Face-ache. Please remember me to Nurse and Sister. I haven’t heard from Miss L and I sent her a card 2 weeks ago. Much love and good wishes Yrs Flo’.
