Narrow part of Newland Street looking up. On left hand side of road, policeman with three stripes, and ‘café’ sign, but can’t see which buildings they are. On right hand side of road, left to right, White Hart (timber gable across corner), 39 Newland Street (Central Buildings, built 1927), 41 Newland Street, 43 Newland Street, 45 Newland Street, 47 Newland Street (bow windows), Spread Eagle (49 Newland Street), 51 Newland Street (shop in Spread Eagle), 53 Newland Street, 55 Newland Street (these two joined), 57 Newland Street (Midland Bank, here 1926 onwards). Man in uniform with bike on right.
