Group in garden at Pelican Cottage, 16 Collngwood Road (built 1904). Three ladies who to judge from other pictures in the series (M2060-M2062 and M2064-M2066) are the Misses Charlotte Alice Pattisson (probably the one on the right), Ella Catherine (Kate) Pattisson in wheelchair, and visiting friend, Alice E Redman on the left, their ladies’ maid in Witham in 1901 (probably also the Miss Redman to whom M2062 is addressed). Also Billy the cat. Postmark 10 August 1907. Addressed to Mr A W Tyler, Lingfield, Hainault Road, Chadwell Heath, Essex [1906 electoral register has Arthur Tyler at this address, in Chadwell Heath ward of Dagenham]. Message reads ‘With many happy returns of the day. Warley Garrison play Witham today and are bringing their band. Love to E. Kate’..
