Message is written as from ‘Billy’, probably the Miss Pattissons’ cat (see M2061), implying that the recipient, Miss Redman, has recently left after a visit. It reads ‘My heart is broken, I have been hunting for you all the morning, I slept in aunties room last night & went out at 2.30. I was not really certain that I wanted to go out. I had a good supper last night but did not want breakfast this morning. Billy’.
