Old Photos of Witham

Pinkham’s van at Hurrell and Beardwell’s garage

Taken: 1954-1960, Ref: M2310

Pinkham’s van displayed for sale. The registration is GYY 772 which is not an Essex number. This might have been when the factory closed in 1965. It is at Hurrell and Beardwell’s garage at the corner of Newland Street and Avenue Road (recognisable by the art deco vase on the right, there is still one at the corner of the road in 2004). Probably inside looking out, with the Grove in the background.
