Old Photos of Witham

Precinct near bottom of Church Street

Taken: 1954, Ref: M2395

Artist’s impression of precinct designed by Stanley Bragg, which soon after this was built to replace the old buildings at 8-20 Church Street (see photo M2394). It was said to echo medieval Chipping Hill with its gables and panelled plaster.
