PROPRIETOR: H.C.LOWE’ (deleted and ‘G.N.DRURY’ written instead). ‘AWARDED 2ND PRIZE IN COMPETITION FOR THE BEST BAR PARLOUR IN UNITED KINGDOM’. Directories show the following at the Red Lion: 1926 Herbert Charles Lowe; 1929 Gilbert N Drury, 1933 Bertha Poole. See also M1439, same card but without amendment to Drury.
