The scene after the Constitutional Club fire, from Newland Street

Taken: 9 February 1910 onwards, Source: Ena Macpherson, Ref: M552

The scene after the Constitutional Club fire, from Newland Street.

Includes 88 Newland Street (Beard’s hardware shop). Has scaffolding so it was probably some time after the fire. Also shows a very small part of 86 Newland Street on the right.

There are a large number of other photos of this event. Put Constitutional in the Search box. This will also produce a lesser number of photos of the new Club, which was built in 1910 in Collingwood Road.
