Temples, 8 Chipping Hill (since demolished)

Photographer: Fred Hayward, Taken: 1900-1920 approx, Source: Martyn Drake, Ref: M816

Temples (8 Chipping Hill). Written on the back is ‘Nurses Home, Witham’. Mrs Ireland (tape 86) said that this building was a nurses home. It was probably the ‘St Albans Diocesan Institution for Trained Nurses’ which appears in the directories 1895-1912.
