The Avenue from the top with lots of houses. Just one gatepost left. Small trees with guards round. Also one large one in foreground. Road probably concreted, so 1935 onwards. In background at top, glove factory (1 Chipping Hill). Has written on back, April 1936, may be when received – no postmark. Addressed to Mr and Mrs H Torturue[?] Holmwood, Ashly, Near Witham[?] Hants. Message reads ‘Dear Many happy returns of the 12 with love and all good wishes to you both ever yours A T[?]’
