Old Photos of Witham

The top of Church Street, with prefabs

Taken: 1945-1982, Ref: M2980

The top of Church Street with prefabs near Bramston Green on the left. They were put up after the Second World War to help deal with the housing shortage. These ones were demolished in 1982. Most of the residents had very much enjoyed living in them. In some parts of the country, they still survive.
