The top end of Newland Street, looking east. On the left is the Whitehall cinema (18 Newland Street). On the right, left to right, are Freebournes farm (3 Newland Street, right of the telegraph pole). Then the Cooks’ butcher’s shop, then the General Post Office (built in 1939).
