On right, left to right, 38 Newland Street (J Winch, two storey, facing towards camera), the George (36 Newland Street), 34 Newland Street, 32 Newland Street, 30 Newland Street, 28 Newland Street (these four in terrace, some with shop blinds), 26 Newland Street, 24 Newland Street, 22 Newland Street (these three in terrace with topiary), Whitehall (18 Newland Street, cinema, showing Bing Crosby in ‘Welcome Stranger, which came out in 1947’). Cars look 1950s at latest.
